Today’s daily travel photo is one of my favourite Korean dishes, Japchae (Korean: 잡채), consisting of sweet potato noodles mixed with assorted vegetables and stir fried in sesame oil. It’s a delicious dish often served during special Korean National holidays or at Chinese Korean restaurants. One of my Korean friends mentioned it is a very time consuming dish to make. I love the light texture of the dish which tastes equally good whether served hot or cold. One of the fascinating aspects of Chinese food abroad is that it adopts local flavors. For those living in Korea it’s certainly a healthy Korean meal as opposed to eating fast food which many teachers unfortunately do. This is a travel photo of Korean chapchae ( 잡채).
