Today’s featured daily travel image is of a hectic traffic scene in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), Vietnam which at times looks like a sea of scooters. What’s even more fascinating is trying to cross the road. With very few designated pedestrian crossings, it’s a game of walking out onto the road and having the scooters drive right past you. Although it is literally terrifying the first time you try (at least, it was for me) you quickly come to realize that the scooters are used to weaving in and out of they way of obstacles (in this case people) and so so quite skillfully.  If you think you’ve seen chaos on the road it is nothing like the worst traffic in Vietnam. This is a travel photo from all of the traffic I captured while in Saigon, Vietnam. To view more madness from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam click on the above photo.

Hello Nomadic Samuel
Love the pic! It is so true – your comment about crossing the road. I thought Indonesia was hard, but HCMC took it to another level. There is no perfect moment to stride out – you just have to do it. I was elated the first time I skipped across – oh, I was so confident (looking), but inside was a bunch of nerves.
Vietnam is gold :)
