Final Class With My Korean Students

This photo is of one of my final classes teaching in South Korea at a Korean public elementary school where I’m happily posing with all of my students.  I felt emotional during the last few days at my school because I knew that I was closing a chapter of my life in Korea after spending four years as a teacher.  Although I’ll miss teaching English in Korea, I’m equally as excited about the new opportunities I’m pursuing as a digital nomad and travel blogger.  I’m quite certain my travel blog will take off in an entirely different direction.  I’ll miss all of my cute students but at the same time I know that I’m following my dream these days.  This is a travel photo from my final class with my Korean students.  To view more photos just like this one click on the smiling students.

It’s so strange for me to see students not wearing uniforms now – this looks COMPLETELY different than a Thai class! Plus we don’t need winter coats here…

Wow, you have about 30 in your class, hey?! Our classes here in China are much smaller…mind you, it’s a private school. It must be a bit difficult to control so many! They look adorable, it must’ve been hard to leave them.

Good luck with the next chapter!

Cheers.

What adorable students! Ah, the last days… Due to some unfortunate circumstances, I actually left once, not thinking that I would return to my TA-ing job, but then I did… so I got to have 2 teary goodbyes. Probably didn’t help that I worked at an all girls school and one teary eye would set off the rest.

Very exciting, Sam! I was definitely sad to leave my students, as well — but it makes it easier remembering you have such great adventures ahead!
