Korean dumplings known as Kimchi Mandu (김치만두) are a popular Korean side menu or snack. They can be steamed, fried or boiled. They are especially popular in cheap Korean chain restaurants that can be considered as fast food – although much healthier than their western counterparts. We especially enjoyed eating frozen Korean dumplings during holidays when many restaurants were closed. If one spends time in South Korea they will also notice stalls and – in some cases – restaurants dedicated only to making Korean dumplings. They are truly delicious and taste even better dunked in soy or sesame sauce.
