Korean Fan Dance | Students | Travel Photo

http://nomadicsamuel.com : Daily travel photo of some former Korean students performing a traditional Korean fan dance during the winter performance festival. Sometimes it’s fun to dust off the vaults and look at some old photos that otherwise don’t get the time of day.  My daily travel photo is of a group of my former Korean students performing a traditional Korean fan dance in the gymnasium of our school.  They put on an excellent show and there were many other talented groups both before and after.  This shot is so old it pre-dates my days of using a dSLR.  This is a travel photo from my Old Korean gallery – Winter Performance.  To view the rest of my gallery click on the photo.

  • Great photo, Samuel! I’m loving all your Korean photos – I’ve lived there for 2.5 years since June 2009 and am on a 2 month break right now before heading back in 2 weeks. These kinds of photos make me want to get back over there right now! Seems like as an EPIK teacher, you get to see a lot of cultural things that you don’t really experience as a hagwon teacher (I hear about “festivals” all the time from my EPIK friends), so thanks for sharing this.
