Today’s special feature travel image is of an India lady struggling to carry large heavy rocks at a construction site located just outside of Mcleod Ganj, India. One of the biggest contrasts between travel in India and neighboring Bangladesh was in the way women went about day to day life. In India, women often decked out in bright saris seemed to be the backbone of the economy doing many of the blue collar types of jobs and dominating markets; however, in Dhaka, Bangladesh, men performed all of the labor on the streets. At this particular construction site it was merely women performing all of the heavy lifting and carrying. This is as a travel photo from Mcleod Ganj, India.
