Today’s daily travel photo is of some colourful pink blossoms found just outside the Cameron Highlands, Malaysia at a flower garden. There are a number of private gardens around the outskirts of Tanah Rata where one can visit. As a travel photography tip, when shooting flowers it’s a good idea to isolate your subject (in this case, the flower) by selectively blurring the background. You want your viewer to only be focused on the flowers/blossoms and not anything distracting behind it. To achieve this use open your aperture wide and use a telephoto lens if you do not have a proper macro. Flowers are not necessarily my favorite photography subject area, as I tend to prefer takings shots of architecture such as the Petronas Towers at Night; however, it’s good to practice taking photos of things you normally wouldn’t consider doing.
