Stones Steps at Machu Picchu, Peru

Stones steps of Machu Picchu, Peru. This is a travel photo from Machu Picchu, Peru.

This adventure travel image is of a series of stones steps sprawling downwards from an overhead perspective overlooking a side section of Machu Picchu, Peru.  One of the biggest travel photography mistakes I noticed while visiting here was that many tourists were ‘only’ trying to take the classic Machu Picchu photo.  The entire lost city is massive and taking the time to thoroughly explore the grounds and snap photos from different vantage points is well worth you effort.  In order to really cover the grounds properly I recommend spending 2-3 days trying to take it all in.  When I see tourists rushing around like mad little busy bees I wonder how much they’re actually taking in with all of their senses.  One of the most rewarding aspects of visiting Machu Picchu is having the opportunity to just sit still and appreciate this marvel of a UNESCO heritage.  This is a travel photo from Machu Picchu, Peru.  To view more photos from my massive travel gallery from Machu Picchu, Peru click on the steps above.
