Welcome to Volume IX of the Top 100 Travel blogs!
This latest addition is all about change and modification. Previously, the top 100 Travel Blogs was formulated using Alexa (33.3%), Domain Authority (33.3%) and Page Authority (33.3%); however, it is now Alexa (25%), SEMrush (25%), Domain Authority (25%) and Page Authority (25%).
The new category that has been added is SEMrush.
After consulting with some of my peers in the industry it became obvious the list would be enhanced by including another ‘traffic’ metric aside from just Alexa.
Having four categories (as opposed to just 3) reduced in value to 25% each provides a more objective standard.
I’m pleased to see that certain sites, that I felt were undervalued using the previous format, are now ranking higher.
Drawing data from three different independent sources (Alexa, SEMRush and Moz) is an overall much better formula.
Anyhow, I’m scrambling to get ready for a trip to Hong Kong, so that’s all I’ve got to say this time around!
Enjoy the new and improved format!
One this particular update there were 175 blogs tracked over four categories with a maximum amount of 700 points.
If you would like your travel blog to be included on the next update it has to qualify in ALL FOUR metrics: (email: nomadicsamuel at gmail dot com)
Alexa Score: 250,000 or lower
SEMRush: 1,600,000 or lower
Page Authority: 50 or higher
Domain Authority: 42 or higher
