Incredible India | Part 35 | Travel Video Slideshow Series

by Samuel on April 2, 2012

This is part 35 of 100 of a continuous slideshow series on my journeys across India. I will be running a new video daily on my daily travel video blog. Check back often to finish the entire series.

India is a country that can not be adequately described with enough superlatives. Although it was a daunting task to narrow things down, I’ve decided to call my 100 part slideshow series ‘Incredible India.’ India truly is incredible. It’s literally my entire collection of India photos randomized into two minute videos that in total has a runtime of 3 hours 20 minutes and 55 seconds.

The series documents my entire seven week journey and includes the following destinations:

> Rajasthan (Jaipur, Jodhpur, Pushkar, Udaipur, Jaisalmer)

> Himachal Pradesh (Dharamsala, Mcleod Ganj)

> Punjab (Amritsar)

> Delhi, Agra, Varanasi, Kolkata (Calcutta)

Some of the highlights include:

> India Train Rides (Various)

> Taj Mahal in Agra

> Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple)

> Border Closing Ceremony Between India & Pakistan

> Scenery & Buddhist world of Mcleod Ganj

> The Ghats (Ganges) of Varanasi

> The marvellous forts and palaces all over Rajasthan

> Camel Safari in the Thar Desert

Furthermore the series really captures the daily life and vibrancy of a rich culture/society:

> Candid portraits of locals (Indian people) – including many smiles, grins and happy faces

> Culture from various regions

> Colourful Saris (Saturated Colours)

> Animals (especially monkeys and cows)

> Local Markets (Colourful spices and even more colourful vendors)

> Regional Dishes (From Curries to Delectable Delights)

> Poverty & Slums (Truly unbelievable at times)

> Diverse modes of transportation (Ancient modes to modern SUVs)

> Gypsy Villages, urban centres, deserts, villages, mountain townships

> Magnificent Forts, Palaces and Architecture

> Unique headdress and attire (Varied by Region)

Overall, India is the country I’m most interested in revisiting and I’m hoping this series piques the interest of others who want to explore its vast territory. Enjoy part 35 of 100 of this series and come back soon for the next video in the series.
