VIDEO: Merdeka Square

If you’re having trouble viewing this video click here:

In this travel video we visit Dataran Merdeka Sqaure (Independence Square) in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Although it was disgustingly hot and humid we still enjoyed ourselves marveling a the impressive architecture and massive flag. As a travel tip we recommend coming early in the morning to avoid the midday heat and humidity.

Video Script:

We are in KL today. It’s our first day of actually exploring this place and we are standing at Merdeka Square which means Independence Square. This used to be a former cricket field but now it is being used for something completely different and just behind us we have the Sultan Abdul Samad Buidling which is quite impressive.

Massive! It is an absolutely gigantic flag in the back!

We definitely chose the wrong time of day to go out and do some filming. We’ve been out here maybe half an hour and we are exhausted and dripping with sweat and very dehydrated. Melting! Melting I tell you. This will be just a short little video and an introduction to KL.

As a travel tip we recommend getting out early. Rising as early as you can in the morning because if you wait until the middle of the day it is pure torture with the heat and humidity.

This flag over here is absolutely massive. The flagpole is ninety five meters tall and it is one of the biggest in all of SE Asia.
