Moving Out Of My Korean Apartment

This is the final video from my Korean apartment in Pyeongtaek, South Korea. We cleaned out my Korean apartment this afternoon and finished packing all of my belongings.  It was a big job to complete considering I hadn’t cleaned my apartment properly since arriving one year ago 😉  Although, I’m anything but materialistic – and prefer collecting memories as opposed to belongings –  I have an uncanny ability to turn a place into an absolute pigsty.

My teaching contract finished on December 24th, 2012 whereas Audrey won’t finish until the end of February in 2013.  We met for the first time in Itaewon – Seoul, South Korea which is why our contracts are not finishing at the same time.

In the meantime, I’m planning on heading back to Canada for a vacation to visit my family and enjoy a proper Canadian winter.  One of my goals is to go public skating almost every single day along with weekend outings to snow show at one of the biggest parks in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada.  One of the things I miss from Canada is the opportunity to easily skate, play ice hockey and enjoy various other winter sports.

Once my six weeks are over in Canada, I’ll then come back to Korea in early February as we both prepare to get ready for indefinite backpacking adventures that begin in Malaysia with no end in sight.

You’ll notice how chaotic, dirty and messy the apartment is until it’s finally packed up. We have a lot of great memories from this apartment and in many ways we’ll miss living here much in the same sense we’ll miss living in Korea.
