I have a special place in my heart for Malaysia. In recent months, I wrote about how I thought Malaysia is one of the most under-rated places to visit in SE Asia. Revisiting again for the first time since 2011 was a reminder of how much I enjoy traveling in this part of the world. After a stressful year in South Korea, in which I worked tirelessly all year long alternating between two full times jobs (teaching and running websites) Malaysia was the official transition point between going from being a teacher to a full time digital nomad. Moreover, it was the first International trip I was taking with my girlfriend Audrey and it marked the first occasion I traveled as a couple as opposed to being single. All of my previous backpacking trips I had done on my own. With all of these changes taking place at once, I certainly felt overwhelmed at times and frustrated with the challenges of working remotely; however, my time spent in Malaysia (for the bulk of March) was overall very pleasant. Audrey and I made a collection of videos that chronicle the details of our trip to Malaysia. The following videos cover the specifics of the cheap places where we enjoyed exotic foods, the cheap hotels in Penang (George Town), Malacca (Melaka), and Kuala Lumpur that we stayed at and other activities
