Today’s little guide shares a few tips on things to do on your visit to Orlando, Florida:
Visiting SeaWorld Orlando
SeaWorld Orlando is a marine life park where you can learn about wildlife while also taking part in lots of fun shows and activities. The most popular rides here include Antartica: Empire of the Penguin, where you get a rare glance at the South Pole and the creatures that can be found there; Journey to Atlantis, where you are taken to the mystical world of a city lost to the sea; and Manta, a fun coaster that will leave you soaked.
Touring Busch Gardens
Take a short drive over to Tampa, where you can do a day tour of Busch Gardens. This extensive park is home to over 2,500 wild animals, but it also offers plenty of thrills with roller coasters, fun rides, music shows and a variety of international food.
Swimming at Aquatica
Aquatica was recently chosen as one of the top 12 water parks in the world. Since one giant wave pool wasn’t enough, the team at Aquatica decided to go bigger and bolder by building two giant wave pools next to each other. Aside from wave pools, you can expect to find fun slides, sandy beaches, and lazy rivers. Aquatica also recently tried breaking the world record for ‘world’s largest swimming lesson’ for the Guinness World Records.
Day Trip to Kennedy Space Center
A day trip to Kennedy Space Center is many a boy’s dream come true. You will have the opportunity to tour NASA’s launch headquarters and ride aboard a space shuttle for a simulated shuttle launch. If that’s not enough, you also have the option of upgrading your tour in order to include dinner with an astronaut who will answer your questions and share about his experiences working for NASA.
Sports and entertainment at Amway Center
Amway Center is designed to host live sport and entertainment shows, and it has hosted major tournament and competitions since it doors first opened to the public. Amway Center has a busy schedule that includes live wrestling, basketball, cheerleading competitions and numerous musical performances. If you happen to be in Orlando at the right time, you might be able to catch your favourite team or band playing.
Exploring Universal Orlando Resort
Have fun exploring each of the resort facilities. Top things to do on a weekend at the resort include; watching latest movie at the Universal Studios, touring the Universal Islands, exploring Wet ‘N wild and shopping at Universal City Walk.
Enjoy your weekend in Orlando!
Universal Studios Orlando was on my bucket list when I was a kid. But when I grew up I realized that I’m not fond of going to theme parks lol.
Hahaha, we all do grow up at some point.
Great list! Living in Central Florida we love all of the things you have listed, especially Busch Gardens. We love riding the super roller coasters and seeing all of the beautiful animals they have at Busch Gardens. Happy Travels!!
Thanks Barbara!
